Biome Intensified Radiating Essence

A fully-rounded Korean skincare routine is not complete without a nourishing essence. While toners and essences can have similar textures and effects, their main purposes are slightly different and that is what distinguishes them. The main purpose of a toner is to rebalance the skin after cleansing, while the main purpose of an essence is to deeply hydrate and nourish the skin, preparing the skin for the next skincare steps. Essences typically feature ingredients which benefit the skin, whether that be hydrating, nourishing, plumping, or improving skin texture.

With our new essence our aim was to make the transition from toner to essence as smooth as possible, and also to develop a formula which feels incredibly nourishing and plumping on the skin. Being on the thicker side of a typical essence’s texture, the formula glides smoothly over the skin with its “velvet fluid” formula, which is truly as smooth as velvet on the skin, and leaves the skin feeling plump and immediately hydrated.

The essence also has the same “woody” scent as the other products, adding to the luxurious experience when applying the essence. Simply apply a few drops into your palm or drop onto your face, then spread and tap in gently to absorb. Feel your skin become supple and nourished almost instantly.

It was important to us that our essence was developed with effective skin-loving ingredients which nourished the skin and left the skin feeling healthy and hydrated, with the added benefit of wrinkle-care.

Adenosine

The essence also features Adenosine, a wrinkle-improving ingredient which has anti-inflammatory properties and promotes collagen synthesis. Adenosine binds to intracellular adenosine receptors and promotes collagen synthesis as well as endothelial skin proliferation.
